I just found a great book: The Voyager's Handbook: The Essential Guide to Blue Water Cruising. The appearance of such a new voice is something of an event, and that's what we'd call the publication of The Voyager's Handbook. Over the next four years, Leonard wrote two books, “The Voyager's Handbook” and “Following Seas,” and they built their boat, Hawk, a 47-foot aluminum fractional sloop with a hard dodger and unpainted topsides.
